Science Quest 2026 (WTM) Conducted Successfully at Vivekavardhani Degree & P.G. College, Kothagudem

    The Department of Life Sciences, Vivekavardhani Degree & P.G. College, Kothagudem, successfully organized Science Quest 2026, an inter-team science quiz competition, as part of the Weekend Talent Management (WTM).

  The programme was attended by Managing Director Mr. M. Pranav Krishna, Principal Ch. Satish, Dean . P. Sai Krishna, Academic Director Mr. Kiran, and Administrative Officer Mr. Praveen. The dignitaries encouraged the students to develop scientific knowledge and actively participate in academic and co-curricular activities.

    Students enthusiastically competed in six teams under the guidance of their respective team leaders. The event was coordinated by Mr. U. Sridhar, Mr. V. Sudhakar, Mr. D. Satish, Ms. Charita Pricilla, Mr. Mohan, and Mrs. Sandhya Prasad also attended the programme and appreciated the students' enthusiasm and performance.

    At the end of the competition, the winning team of the first round received tokens of appreciation from the dignitaries. Based on their performance, three teams were selected from the six participating teams to advance to the next level of Science Quest 2026.

    The programme concluded successfully, providing students with an excellent platform to enhance their scientific knowledge, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

Plantation Drive Conducted at Vivekavardhani Degree & P.G. College, Kothagudem

As part of the Foundation Day celebrations of Vivekavardhani Degree & P.G. College, the NSS Unit in association with the Department of Life Sciences organized Plantation Drive 2026 on 11 July 2026 at the college premises with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty.

On this occasion, Chairman Ln. M. V. Chowdary emphasized that trees are the foundation of a healthy environment. He stated that trees absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) and release oxygen (O₂), which is essential for sustaining life on Earth. He encouraged everyone to plant and protect trees to build a greener, healthier, and more sustainable society for future generations.

Managing Director  Pranav Krishna appreciated the enthusiastic participation and sincere efforts of the students in planting saplings across the campus and make environmental conservation a lifelong responsibility.

Principal Ch. Satish stressed the importance of planting and protecting native tree species and local medicinal herbs, explaining that they play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, conserving biodiversity, and preserving traditional medicinal knowledge.

The plantation programme was organized by NSS Programme Officer A. Mallesh , and the Department of Life Sciences faculty members U. Sridhar (Bot), V. Sudhakar(Zoo), and D. Satish (M.B)Dean P. Sai Krishna, Academic Director Kiran, and Administrative Officer (AO) Praveen also participated in the programme.

Students actively participated in the plantation drive by planting saplings at various locations on the college campus and pledged to protect and nurture them. The programme concluded with the message:

"Every tree planted today is a gift of oxygen, hope, and a healthier future for generations to come."

Mobilization Drive Session Successfully Conducted at Vivekavardhani Degree & PG College, Kothagudem

Kothagudem, 06 July 2026:

A Mobilization Drive Session under the collaboration of Bajaj Finserv and Rubicon for the CPBFI (Certificate Program in Banking, Finance and Insurance) was successfully conducted today at Vivekavardhani Degree & PG College, Kothagudem. The session aimed at improving students’ employability skills and preparing them for future career opportunities.

The program was facilitated by Mr. Eswar Rakesh, Rubicon Facilitator, who explained the objectives of the program and motivated students to actively participate in the training sessions.

The event was attended by Chairman Sri M. V. Chowdary, Principal Sri Ch. Satish, Dean Sri P. Sai Krishna, TPO Uma Madam, English Faculty Sandhya Prasad Madam, and other faculty members and staff.

Chairman Sri M. V. Chowdary, in his address, encouraged students to make effective use of such skill-development programs and enhance their confidence, communication, and career opportunities.
