Kothagudem, October 3, 2026: A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized at Vivekavardhani Degree & P.G. College, Kothagudem, under the aegis of the National Service Scheme (NSS). The programme aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and create awareness about the importance of blood donation in saving precious lives.

A total of 35 donors voluntarily donated blood during the camp. The blood collection and medical procedures were carried out under the supervision of K. Kanaka Laxmi, In-charge, Blood Bank, Government Hospital, Kothagudem, along with the medical team. The donors were screened and the blood collection was conducted following the required medical safety procedures.

The encouragement and support of Chairman M. V. Chowdary and Vice Chairman M. Pranav Krishna. They appreciated the donors for their valuable contribution and encouraged students and staff to actively participate in social and humanitarian service activities. The college management stated that the blood donation camp has been organized for the past 15 years and encouraged NSS volunteers to double their participation next year.

The programme was attended by Principal Ch. Satish, Dean P. Sai Krishna, Administrative Director R. Kiran Kumar, and Administrative Officer D. Praveen. They appreciated all the blood donors and highlighted that voluntary blood donation is a noble service that can help save lives during emergencies, accidents, surgeries, and other medical situations.

Teaching staff members Aravind, Durga Prasad, Satish, along with other teaching staff, actively participated in the programme. The non-teaching staff and NSS volunteers also extended their cooperation for the successful conduct of the camp.

The college authorities expressed their appreciation to all 35 blood donors, the medical team, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, and NSS volunteers for their active participation and support.

The successful conduct of the camp reflects the commitment of Vivekavardhani Degree & P.G. College towards social responsibility, community service, and humanitarian values.
